The New Complete Works of Josephus:

Well here is the "NEW" translation of The works of Josephus. I have the 1980 edition which I guess is the old version. The 1980 version reads very nice. The print is small but I love the old english used. It gives it an ancient feel, like you are really there! I have read some of the comparisons between the old and new and already see a problem. Complete Works of Josephus:

No library on the early history of the Jewish People is complete without this book. It is one of the view original source material about this subject. Easily understood translation.

Heavy reading but worthwhile:

This work gives you a glimpse of historical Jewish life and settings. I wanted it mainly to look at circumstances during New Testament times.

Research and learn:

This is a wonderful additionto my Biblical library as well as my literary library. There is a wealth of information that is there for the taking. This book gives descripions of Bible times throught the eyes of a man. We can read of what he saw of the area in the time of Jesus and afterward. This is a book that will be used many times over and will be a good back ground reference for both Biblical and literary work.
